CORE CRITERIA
Candidate must be willing to represent the chapter and embrace the vision for the organization. They also must be sympathetic and willing to engage with other professionals, firms, and organizations. They should help to empower other voices and celebrate the diversity within our chapter and community
Be in good standing as a member and is current with all membership dues
Commit to attending 75% of scheduled monthly board meetings, in-person or virtual
Commit to attending various events, fundraisers, and all-member meetings throughout the calendar year.
Officers are required to serve the full term of 1 year for a maximum of three consecutive terms.
Officers are encouraged to join other committees

EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

The President is the face of the organization, actively promoting and showcasing the NOMAColumbus chapter to our membership and the community-at-large. As the leader of the executive board, the position requires active engagement with all board members to facilitate, coordinate, and delegate chapter engagements for the betterment of the chapter.

The Vice President is the facilitating aide of the organization, actively supporting and engaging with the NOMAColumbus chapter in support of the President. As the second in command of the executive board, the position expectation is to succeed to the president role after the president’s term ends. In the absence or inability of the President, the Vice President shall perform all the duties of the President.

The Secretary is responsible to keep record of all meeting agendas and minutes to define next steps and accountability for NOMAColumbus leadership and chapter members.

The Treasurer is responsible to maintain and keep record of all financial operations of the chapter. To provide responsible management, the position will manage and monitor all financial transactions for general compliance as the steward of chapter budget planning and stability.
COMMITTEE CHAIRS

Leads the strategic planning of the NOMAColumbus yearly calendar and facilitation of the NOMAColumbus events and opportunities. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to provide meaningful opportunities in alignment with the mission of the local chapter and national organization.

Maintains NOMAColumbus membership rolls, tracks growth and leads initiatives to sustain the body of the chapter through providing and upkeeping of membership benefits in alignment with local and national goals.

Pursue, engage, and communicate with all interested parties that interact and engage with NOMAColumbus Chapter through facilitating and fostering relationships with the public through like minded organizations, individuals, missions and ideas and develops strategic plans to consistently increase visibility of the organization.

Leads and coordinates opportunities in alignment with the local and national Project Pipeline Initiatives for youth, collegiate, and early professional awareness, development, and achievement to create a more inclusive profession through camps, workshops, seminars, mentorship opportunities and licensure support.
DIRECTORS

Student Engagement Chair is responsible for general communication, engagement strategy, and supporting programming that maintains and fosters connections between the NOMAColumbus Chapter and the NOMAS student chapters.

Foster and curates the voice and direction of the NOMAColumbus chapter and engages the public and collaborators on all forms of external marketing channels through printed and digital media.

The parliamentarian shall maintain order of all meetings of the board of directors and membership using Roberts Rules of Order, govern and interpret chapter actions and operations per the NOMAColumbus bylaws.

The historian shall maintain historical records including but not limited to, photographs, memorabilia, marketing, digital archives, etc. on behalf of the NOMAColumbus chapter to preserve the history and legacy of NOMA in the greater Columbus area.
