2025 Black Women in Architecture Network Annual Brunch

The 2025 Black Women in Architecture Annual Brunch & Fundraiser, hosted by NOMA Columbus, is a vibrant in-person gathering where we’ll enjoy brunch, meaningful conversation, and networking before tuning in to the national virtual program. More than just a celebration, this is a powerful fundraising event—an opportunity to invest in the future of Black and minority women in architecture across Columbus and beyond.

This year’s brunch will center around the inspiring book Letters to Ms. 1000 — a powerful collection of reflections for and by Black female architects. We are thrilled to welcome author Christian Joosse, AIA, NOMA, NCARB who will be joining us in person! Guests will have the unique opportunity to meet her, engage in meaningful conversation, and connect through the shared stories that shape our profession.

The Black Women in Architecture Network (BWA) is a growing community that supports the over 600 licensed Black female architects in the U.S., as well as aspiring architects and women in design, planning, and related professions.

NOMA – Columbus Chapter (National Organization of Minority Architects) works to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in architecture through advocacy, mentorship, and community building, empowering minority architects and ensuring all communities are represented in design.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Desiree V. Cooper Scholarship Fund, which supports and uplifts emerging Black women pursuing careers in architecture and design.

Your ticket purchase and participation directly support this mission. Thank you for being part of this effort to build a more inclusive and representative future for the profession.

If you are interested in supporting or sponsoring the Columbus event, please email us at programming@nomacolumbus.org.

Together, we are creating lasting change. Thank you for your invaluable support!
