Visionary Voices: Endurance to Empowerment: Black Resilience + Community Renaissance

Date: February 25th, 2026

5:30 PM | Lincoln Theater, 769 E Long St, Columbus, OH 43203

Join us for a premiere speaking engagement, providing a platform to empower voices and a place where their unique perspectives or experiences are celebrated.

Enjoy an evening of reflection, resilience, and community storytelling as we honor the centennial anniversary of Black History Month. This powerful conversation will explore the journey of Poindexter Village—from endurance to empowerment— and its continued impact as a national model for community-informed design, leading toward the 2028 opening of the Poindexter Village African American Museum.

We’re honored to hear from an incredible panel of leaders shaping this work and preserving its legacy:

Shelbi Toone
Jonathan Moody
Isoke Miller-Harris, NCIDQ, IIDA
Yanitza Brongers Marrero, FAIA, LEED AP BDC Homes

Be part of the dialogue. Be part of the future.
